More on Function over Form
Let's break down some popular myths about fitness: there's a world of difference between a body builder and a functionally fit human being.
The sport of body building is based entirely around aesthetic appeal. The intended function of human musculature is entirely ignored.
Who's a better athlete? A body builder with chiseled abs and swollen biceps, or an athlete who can efficiently lift heavy weights from the floor to the ceiling, run a four minute mile, or go five rounds in a fight?
Chances are, both of those people will have strikingly similar physiques, but only one is a real athlete.
